We took the dog to the vet this morning. Getting there we were lucky, didn't have to wait to long on the call  ah but getting back was the kicker....many cabs, none stopped, we waited , I called, waited,  called... . .. waited for an hour before a cabby came by and agreed to take us with the dog. God Bless him and his Silver Cab The other grievance with cabs, they don't take 5 persons. It is frustrating. If you want life without a car in Singapore, don't have 3 kids, have 2, don't have a pet and getting around will be much easier and smoother.

Bus apps on the mobile, great idea ? Maybe, sometimes. Mine is the for-android version..... am not an IPhone fan . On the one hand, it helps pick which route to take or which alternative is faster, on the other it can be stressful. Once upon a time, we were able to take our time,  wait patiently, because we did not have expectations of  the bus arrival. But today with the bus app, before you reach the stop, you can check on the arrival. And so you time yourself and get ready to meet that time or fret you might miss it or curse that you have missed it. Did we just add a pile of anxiety to our plate ? Seems like everything we do gets put on the clock and we help ourselves to it. Download any more 'helpful' apps lately?

(very hard to be cool lah) Simple Courtesy There are tonnes of people getting out at Little India station and what do you have , two lumps of stone standing at the doorway... (no they are not related perhaps distantly 500 years ago !) "Excuse Me" is useless..., people shove their way pass them, bags banging at them, still unmovable..- are they brain dead or morons ? Probably a good shove out the door might do it. Feeder service woes My 317 bus.... 6 months ago, it used to come on time and regularly, now it doesn't. They skip a slot, they come two at a time. Want to imagine how irritating that is ? and Yes ....  both incidents  involve 'people'..... ...of course being good citizens we don't resort to 'road' rage or bus captain bashing or finger antics or what uncool ways.. have you,.to let off steam..... we swallow it, not quite digested.. carry it with us and dump it on the unsuspecting junior at the office.....
