Staycation in Changi Cove, good for a short break.

A 2 night vacation with mum, dad, and my son, not to mention with the caregivers in tow too. It was unexpected pleasant for the most part.  The weather was great but it was HOT. I have to say kudos to Changi Cove for the effort to getting us side by side and for a room which made wheelchair movement in and out of the bathroom easy. Breakfast was good too, a good spread, and dinner was surprisingly good too, at the White Olive, the one and only restaurant, when we tried it for one night.

The sunset was great on the second day, where there was less cloud cover on the horizon.
It was not boring. Plenty of things to do and see or just plain chill anywhere on the beach. If you like to take in the outdoors by walking, this is a good place to go to. Lovely sea air, little smelly at times, but still scenic enough for me away from skyscrappers and traffic. There is no pool on the premises, but you can use the Beach club pool, if you want. So it's great if you have kids too.

We spent like half a day at the beach, had lunch and dinner at the Village, where mostly non-Chinese stores were open for business. The Village if you don't mind is a 15-20min walk from the hotel,.  The beach was pretty crowded but that still beats queing in a causeway jam for hours to or fro anytime, which is typical for CNY activity.
Changi Point

The boardwalk is like a hop and a skip away from the hotel entrance, it is partly wheelchair accessible for most of the way upto the front of the Changi Beach club but not toward the right side heading towards the Yacht club and Changi Village direction mainly because of steps. But for the folks I think it was plenty distance, given the boards on the walk were pretty rickety before you hit the seaboard.

Second night, we paid a visit to the Cedro Bar which is just 2 minutes up the road at a nearby hotel for nightcap with dad. Easy enough to get his chair in and out.
A discovery, The Coastal Settlement is actually a restaurant along the road nearby too, just before the yacht club or sailing club which is hidden further beyond the main road of Netheravon road.
No I'm not posting hotel pictures here, you can get those online.
Couple of other hotels, nearby, might check them out too...a 2 night staycation doesn't sound like a uninteresting idea anymore.
